01 — About
A PhD in numerical modelling taught me to tackle ill-posed problems: break them down, model them, solve them rigorously, then test the results against reality. That is the method I bring to the systems I design — all the more when the stakes are technical and uncertain.
I judge software by its usefulness and its robustness, not its sophistication. A good architecture doesn’t need to be spectacular: it needs to stay reliable, readable and maintainable by a whole team — even years after it goes into production, without depending on whoever designed it.
I’ve designed and delivered systems in both France and the United Kingdom, across very different technical and human contexts. It left me with one conviction: no solution is worth anything without a precise understanding of the problem, the constraints and the goal. That is always where I start.
02 — Experience
Within the DevCo team, I build applications and tools that process energy data. I work directly with the business teams to frame their needs, then design the pipelines that make the data behind those processes reliable.
I helped rebuild the website of the Paris Institute for Advanced Study, a centre that hosts scholars from around the world. I developed the new features and reworked the interface to better showcase the institute’s research programmes, activities and visiting researchers.
On the AI DReAM team, I built web applications powered by AI models to analyse and monitor complex medical conditions, particularly glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain cancers. The goal: turn medical data into something clinicians and researchers can actually use to study and track the disease.
I contributed to a web application for analysing activity across the mining sites of BHP, a global mining group operating in many countries. My work focused on centralising their operational data and making it genuinely usable.
For SNCF’s DGII-VA-I division, I developed a web application that analyses the interaction between trains and the track. It uses numerical simulations to help maintenance teams spot at-risk sections of the network and plan their work ahead of time.
The Low Noise Underground Laboratory (LSBB), located in Rustrel (Vaucluse, France), is an interdisciplinary research facility set up in a former military base repurposed for science. It consists of a network of underground galleries excavated in a highly heterogeneous karstic massif, whose geological characteristics influence the propagation of mechanical waves and the distribution of stress fields around the tunnels.
There, I designed and built a numerical-simulation application to study wave propagation in these galleries and analyse the dynamic response of the tunnel and its surroundings, under both harmonic and transient conditions.
